A unique two-handed warhammer with a head shaped like a small keg. The entire weapon is adorned with dwarven runes, each granting it magical properties – from reducing its weight to increasing the wielder’s agility. The most unusual rune, however, allows the hammer to function as an actual keg, letting the user pour a tankard of dwarven ale at any time. The original owner was Dimmar, a warrior from the Frothy Tankards Clan, who specialized in trade and caravan protection. He received the “Keg” from the elders in recognition of his bravery and dedication in defending the clan’s golden brew.
Description Potential
In RPG games:
- A weapon with unique effects: heals the party after “pouring ale” or boosts morale
- Reward for a quest involving caravan protection or recovering the lost keg
In Point&Click games:
- An item for solving puzzles: breaking obstacles, obtaining dwarven ale needed to persuade an NPC, or opening a secret passage
In Survival Horror games:
- Drinking from the hammer boosts morale and quenches thirst but significantly increases drunkenness, making control harder or causing hallucinations
- Allows building unique structures (e.g., barricades, traps)
- Until the weapon is “cleansed,” the ale it produces is spoiled – drinking it causes illness but still quenches thirst
In Action RPG games:
- “Feast” skill: the character drinks ale directly from the hammer, entering a “drunken master” state (increased strength and agility, chaotic moves); after it ends, the character suffers from “hangover,” “exhaustion/sleepy,” or “food intolerance” status
- Upgrading the hammer by adding runes enhances positive effects and reduces penalties
